Qupas helps you log what you eat and estimate calories and nutrients. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
1. Data we collect
- Account: name, email and a hashed password.
- Body data you enter: sex, age, height, weight, activity level and goals, used only to calculate your targets.
- Meal logs, water and weight entries you create.
- Food photos and text you submit for analysis. Photos are processed to estimate nutrition and are not stored after analysis.
2. How we use it
Only to provide Qupas: calculating your targets, estimating food nutrition, showing reports, and keeping your account secure. We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.
3. AI processing
To estimate nutrition, the photo or text you submit is sent to an AI language-model provider through our own gateway. It is processed only to return the estimated values. Estimates are approximate and are not medical or dietary advice.
4. Storage and security
Each account's data lives in its own separate database. Connections use HTTPS, passwords are hashed with PBKDF2, and sign-in is rate-limited and protected against bots.
5. Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can export your logs as CSV, and delete your account any time in Profile → Delete account, which removes your account and all its data immediately.
6. Health disclaimer
Qupas is not a medical device. Talk to a doctor or registered dietitian before changing your diet, especially if you are pregnant, under 18, or have a medical condition.
